This is a vintage Mikimoto ring, likely from before the Showa 30s (1955), with an old type of K14 hallmark (embossed).This raised hallmark is an older style, and it appears to have been commonly used from the Showa 20s to 30s (1945-1955).

The Akoya pearls, ranging from 5.0mm to 6.8mm, have a soft, creamy hue and an elegant luster.At the time these pearls were cultivated, they were grown over a longer period than modern pearls, resulting in a thicker nacre. Even after all this time, they still exhibit a moist and deep radiance.

Akoya pearls are arranged like grapes, adorned with large, open leaves and curling stems that embrace them. This piece dates from a period when Mikimoto was experiencing rapid growth.
