We have previously created cherry blossom pearls and hydrangea pearls, but this time we have a very lovely apricot color.

These earrings are made with nucleated freshwater pearls in an apricot color. They are not dyed and have a natural, gentle orange-pink hue.

Unlike regular freshwater pearls, nucleated freshwater pearls are cultivated by inserting a nucleus and mantle tissue, just like Akoya pearls.

While Akoya pearls are cultivated underwater for 8 months or more, nucleated freshwater pearls are cultivated for 24 months or more. This longer cultivation period allows for a thicker nacre layer, resulting in pearls with deep luster and rich interference colors.

These are very labor-intensive pearls, as only one pearl can be harvested from each mother-of-pearl shell. Furthermore, they are undyed and boast beautiful natural colors.

These beautiful pearls possess the luster of Akoya pearls, the volume of South Sea pearls, and the unique colors characteristic of Hyriopsis cumingii shells. They overturn the image of freshwater pearls as being inferior to Akoya pearls and more affordable.
