These earrings are crafted using nucleated freshwater pearls in a hydrangea color. The color is natural lavender pink, not dyed.

Unlike typical freshwater pearls, nucleated freshwater pearls are cultivated by inserting a nucleus and mantle tissue, similar to Akoya pearls.

While Akoya pearls are cultivated underwater for 8 months or more, nucleated freshwater pearls are cultivated for a longer period of 24 months or more. This extended cultivation period allows for a thick nacre layer, resulting in deep luster and rich interference colors.

These are labor-intensive pearls, as only one can be harvested from a single mother oyster.

Furthermore, they are undyed and have a beautiful, natural color that is not artificially treated.

These beautiful pearls possess the luster of Akoya pearls, the volume of South Sea pearls, and the unique colors characteristic of Hyriopsis cumingii mussels. They challenge the perception that freshwater pearls are of lower quality compared to Akoya pearls, while being more affordable.
