Seed Pearl and Garnet Brooch/Necklace

This is a British jewelry piece made in the early 1900s, featuring an impressive design with the gentle, curvilinear forms characteristic of Art Nouveau.

It is a light and lovely design adorned with garnets and seed pearls on openwork 9k gold.

Tiny seed pearls are also set on the bail, showing the intricate craftsmanship down to the details. This bail can be detached when used as a brooch.

While 9k gold has a lower purity as a precious metal compared to 14k or 18k, it is notably durable. Although 9k gold is common for British antique jewelry, it is particularly well-suited for delicate and light, slender jewelry.
