Hauyne, known for its remarkably bright "cobalt blue" hue, is a rare gemstone often said to be more beautiful than sapphire.
Representing a rare class of stones, few gemstones can exhibit such a bright, vivid lapis lazuli color as Hauyne.
Officially named "haüyne," this stone is mined exclusively in the Eifel region of Germany. Due to its scarcity, commercial mining is currently almost non-existent.
