Cartier Must Tank Vermeil
Lapis Lazuli Dial
Just back from overhaul, this is a rare hand-wound model with a beautiful blue lapis lazuli dial.
It's a rare model that was part of the initial production run of the Must Tank and is surprisingly hard to find.
Hand-wound Must Tanks were only manufactured for a few years, from the 1970s to the 1980s, and the number of well-preserved pieces available on the market is decreasing year by year.
The beautiful dial, which features golden specks scattered across a lapis lazuli blue background, evokes a starry night sky and is sometimes described as "Stardust" due to its resemblance to stardust.
It boasts a refined atmosphere that can only be found in antique models, with a blank dial type without indices, pencil hands that spread outwards, and a beautiful blue round crown.
The buckle is genuine Cartier, and the strap is aftermarket. The strap is a navy embossed cowhide, chosen to match the indigo dial.
