This is a necklace crafted with hydrangea-colored nucleated freshwater pearls. They are not dyed and have a natural lavender-pink color.

Unlike typical freshwater pearls, nucleated freshwater pearls are cultivated by inserting a nucleus and mantle tissue, just like Akoya pearls.

While Akoya pearls are cultivated underwater for 8 months or more, nucleated freshwater pearls are cultivated for a longer period of 24 months or more. This extended cultivation allows for a thick nacre layer, producing a deep luster and rich interference colors.

These are highly laborious pearls, as only one pearl can be harvested from a single mother oyster.

Furthermore, they are undyed and have beautiful, natural colors without any treatment.

These beautiful pearls possess the luster of Akoya pearls, the volume of South Sea pearls, and the unique colors of the Hyriopsis cumingii shell. They overturn the image of freshwater pearls being inexpensive and inferior to Akoya pearls, offering superior quality.
