The enchanting, grape-colored stone is an unheated purple sapphire. While sapphires other than blue are called fancy-colored sapphires, purple sapphires are known for being particularly rare in production.
Approximately 90% of sapphires on the market are heat-treated, but this one is a rare unheated specimen. It is a precious gemstone, featuring a beautiful, raw, deep-colored stone cut into a large 1.477ct size.
